ABOUT ME
Henry Pleass trained in England, Scotland and Sydney, Australia in general surgery, specialising in Hepatobiliary, pancreatic and abdominal transplant surgery. He is the surgical head of the National Pancreas transplant program at Westmead Hospital as well as a VMO liver transplant surgeon at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and a VMO surgeon at Westmead Private Hospital, Sydney. He was appointed Professor of Surgery, Westmead Clinical School, University of Sydney in 2013 and holds numerous governance positions within his specialty at state and national level.
EXPERIENCE
He has been a consultant surgeon since 1999 and now has over 150 peer reviewed publications and 10 book chapters. He regularly performs both laparoscopic and major open procedures. He has a strong education and research interest and is passionate about training the next generation of surgeons.
